The City of Greenville recreational and athletic programs promote opportunities for children, youth and their families to participate in a variety of classes, fitness, travel, sports, cultural arts, after-school and summer programs. From soccer to softball, and from after-school care to summer camp, we have something for every age and interest.

Fitness Boot Camp at McPherson Park 

Register now for the next session beginning Tuesday, September 4, 2018

Get in shape "boot camp" style! In each class participants will perform exercises individually and as teams, focusing on muscular strength, flexibility, and muscular endurance. The emphasis is on both physical and mental improvement and each week builds upon the previous classes. The program is designed for all levels of fitness with workouts including body weight, cardiovascular endurance and core strength exercises. The classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30AM - 6:30AM. Meet at McPherson Park, 100 E. Park Avenue.

Study Buddies After School Program 
Now enrolling!



The Study Buddies After School program is offered at five community centers throughout Greenville. The program runs from August 20 through June 4 and operates from 2:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday. Participants will receive homework assistance, tutoring, life skills development, recreational activities, arts and crafts projects, and much more. A meal is provided daily for each participant. This program is open to students in 5K through 8th grade. The fee is $175 with City of Greenville residents receiving a 20% discount. Sibling discounts are also available.

Bobby Pearse Community Center, David Hellams Community Center, Juanita Butler Community Center, Nicholtown Community Center and West Greenville Community Center.
