The upstate of South Carolina is home to an amazing diversity of plants, animals, and ecosystems. During the day to
day hustle and bustle of our busy lives, it can be easy to forget how much nature has to offer us and how
interconnected we are with our natural environment. So many of the things we need come from nature;
from clean air and water to food, clothes, and building materials.
As far back as I can remember I have been fascinated by the world around me, and I love to go for walks in the
woods to explore the natural world and the connections that exist between people and our environment. The upstate
has so much to offer, and through this photo journal, I will be exploring just a small portion of it. You are
invited to read along and join me for a walk in the woods.
