Redistricting Public Drop In - Proposed Map
Tuesday, November 29, 2022
The City of Greenville will host four drop-in meetings in November and December to receive public comment on a proposed redistricting plan. The proposed redistricting map will be available for public viewing prior to the first meeting on November 29.

Drop-in meetings will be held in each Council district; however, residents are welcome to attend any or all of the meetings. All meetings will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and will be held as follows:
- Tuesday, November 29 - Greenville Technical College, Community Room/Auditorium, 506 S. Pleasantburg Drive (District 4)
- Thursday, December 1 - Bobby Pearse Community Center, 904 Townes Street (District 1)
- Monday, December 5 – Prisma Health Welcome Center at Unity Park, 111 Welborn Street (District 2)
- Thursday, December 8 - Nicholtown Community Center, 112 Rebecca Street (District 3)
The 2020 United States Census showed a shift in population density within the city limits, meaning the districts are no longer balanced. The law requires population equity among the districts, so the City’s redistricting goal is to have four council districts that are as close to the same number of people as possible and meet additional legal requirements for voting districts.
