Submitting An Event to the Community Calendar

All submissions will be reviewed before posting to the city's Community Calendar. The city has the discretion to determine which public events will be included in the calendar. The events should provide entertainment, food or other attractions to a diverse population, and promote the economic benefits of tourism or enhance the quality of life of the community. All events must be open to the general public (for free or cost), located within the City of Greenville and organized for non-profit purposes.

J. Michael King on the guitar and Freddie Vanderford on the mouth harp, playing the Piedmont Blues highlighting the music that blossomed in Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia near the beginning of the 20th century, music influenced by ragtime music and early banjo techniques. Both Michael and Freddie are South Carolina treasures and have received the prestigious Jean Laney Harris Folk Heritage Award which recognizes individuals and groups that through their music and advocacy have worked to further and preserve traditional culture in South Carolina.
