Thank you to all of our dedicated partners and participants from last week's National Community Development Week celebration, which highlighted affordable housing developments of the past, present and future. We look forward to continuing our work toward a more affordable Greenville! 

Hard Hat Tours - 2019 National Community Development Week
Reverend James Speed and Alan Kirk of Allen Temple gave representatives from the Greenville Homeless Alliance, the City of Greenville and the Haynie-Sirrine neighborhood a tour of one of their affordable homes under construction in the West Greenville neighborhood. 
Community Development Staff volunteer with Rebuild Upstate
City of Greenville Community Development staff volunteered with Rebuild Upstate to construct a wheelchair ramp for an elderly resident. 


Genesis Homes breaks ground on 2 affordable rental units in the Greenline-Spartanburg Neighborhood
During the week, Genesis Homes broke ground on four new affordable housing units - two in the Greenline-Spartanburg neighborhood and two in the Nicholtown neighborhood. 
City of Greenville Community Development staff end National Community Development Week by volunteering for Habitat for Humanity constructing two new homes for single mothers.
